Trump: A ceasefire agreement with Iran is "likely" to be reached soon

On the 29th, U.S. President Trump told the Financial Times that indirect negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, conducted through the “intermediary” Pakistan, are “progressing well.” However, when asked whether a ceasefire agreement could be reached in the coming days and if the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened, Trump did not disclose specific details. Trump stated, “We have about 3,000 targets left, we have bombed 13,000 targets, and there are still thousands of targets to strike. An agreement could be reached soon.” (Xinhua)
