Chinese-made optical cables are experiencing a global surge in orders. Manufacturers are rushing to expand factories and increase production lines.
Ask AI · How is the artificial intelligence boom igniting China’s fiber optic cable export orders?
【China’s fiber optic cable sees a global surge in orders, manufacturers are rapidly expanding factories and increasing production lines】Financial Association News, March 26 - As the “14th Five-Year Plan” kicks off, the development of artificial intelligence is accelerating, leading to a rapid increase in global investment in computing power infrastructure. In Suzhou, Jiangsu, the export of fiber optic cable manufacturing companies has experienced rapid growth. Relevant enterprises are operating at full capacity to seize the global market. A staff member from one company told reporters that since the end of last year, the company’s overseas order volume has significantly increased, with numerous orders from South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, all requiring delivery within no more than half a month. In the past two months, this company’s fiber optic cable exports have increased by 51% year-on-year. Production schedules are now very tight. During this period, they are accelerating the expansion of their factories and increasing production lines to enhance capacity in response to market demand. From Nanjing Customs, it was learned that in the first two months of this year, the export value of wires and cables, including fiber optic cables, from the Wujiang area reached 860 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 69.3%. Accompanying this round of global artificial intelligence development and the explosion of demand for computing power, related product exports from Jiangsu have seen rapid growth this year.
