Trump: Iran has agreed to most of the 15 demands
Odaily Planet Daily News: Local time on Sunday, Trump told reporters aboard the U.S. Air Force One that Iran has “met” most of the 15 ceasefire demands the U.S. previously put forward to Tehran, although it is still unclear whether the two sides are indeed holding substantive negotiations. He said: “They have met most of our key points. Why wouldn’t they do that? We’re going to make a few more demands.” However, he declined to disclose what specific concessions Iran has made. On the record, Iran has clearly rejected the list of the 15 ceasefire conditions and has in turn proposed its own five prerequisite conditions—including full control over sovereignty of the Strait of Hormuz. This weekend, officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey held meetings in an attempt to find a way out of the conflict, but there are currently no signs that the talks have made substantive progress. After meeting with counterparts from various countries, Pakistan’s foreign minister said: “Both Iran and the United States have stated that they trust Pakistan and are willing for Pakistan to host the subsequent negotiations.” However, neither side has indicated that it is prepared for direct dialogue.
