An industrial zone in Israel was attacked, resulting in the leakage of hazardous materials.
According to multiple Israeli media reports on the 29th, an industrial area in the southern Israeli city of Be’er Sheva was hit by an Iranian missile, igniting a fire and causing “dangerous materials to leak.”
Reports state that the Ne’ot Hovav industrial area, located south of Be’er Sheva, was struck by a missile from Iran in the afternoon, leading to a fire. The Israeli public broadcasting company quoted rescue personnel as saying that the cleanup operations are expected to “last several hours,” and nearby individuals “should remain in safe areas” to avoid inhaling “harmful substances” in the air.
The Israeli fire and rescue department stated that three specialized hazardous materials response teams have been dispatched to assess the danger level.
Ne’ot Hovav is a major industrial area in southern Israel, primarily engaged in chemical production and hazardous waste treatment.
