Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation Deng Zhiyong Meets with Sergio Mujica, Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
On March 27, People’s Financial News reported that on March 25, Deng Zhiyong, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation and Director of the National Standardization Administration, met with Sergio Mujica, Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on ISO governance, standard digitization, and international standardization work in key areas. Deng Zhiyong stated that the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration will continue to promote the opening of standard systems and adhere to the principles of open cooperation and mutual benefit, in accordance with the decisions outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan regarding the improvement of standards’ internationalization level, contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to promote global connectivity and sustainable development. Sergio Mujica highly praised China’s deep participation in ISO governance and international standard formulation, expressing a desire to further strengthen cooperation with China. Relevant officials from the State Administration for Market Regulation and the China National Institute of Standardization attended the meeting.
