The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ansari, said on the 24th that Qatar is currently not involved in mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, but is focusing on maintaining its own security. Ansari stated at a routine press conference that Qatar’s current priority is to safeguard national security and address the impacts of various attacks on the country. Qatar is in contact with countries both within and outside the region to promote problem-solving. He called for an end to the conflict through diplomatic means as soon as possible. Since the U.S. and Israel launched military strikes against Iran on February 28, Qatar, which hosts U.S. military bases, has become one of Iran’s targets, and has faced missile and drone attacks multiple times.
