China Merchants Bank Retail AUM surpasses 17 trillion yuan, with last year's growth reaching a record high

On March 27, People’s Financial News reported that China Merchants Bank disclosed its 2025 annual report, showing that at the end of last year, the bank’s total assets under management (AUM) for retail customers exceeded 17 trillion yuan, with an increase of more than 2 trillion yuan for the year, setting a new historical high. As of the end of last year, the number of retail customers at China Merchants Bank reached 224 million (including debit and credit card customers), an increase of 6.7% compared to the beginning of the year. Among them, the number of Gold Sunflower and above customers and private banking customers was nearly 5.94 million and 200,000, respectively, representing increases of 13.3% and 17.9% compared to the beginning of the year, both of which are the highest growth rates in nearly four years.
