The Kroger Co. Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to the Louisville Urban League’s Project Kilimo, an initiative focused on urban farming in West Louisville. This program aims to teach residents how to grow their own vegetables, cook healthy meals, and develop food entrepreneurship skills, addressing food insecurity in the community. Kroger employees also volunteered 40 hours to prepare the farm for spring planting, highlighting their commitment to supporting local food access.
