Midea Group and COSCO Shipping renew their strategic partnership, jointly charting a new blueprint for the global supply chain
Reis Network News: On the morning of March 27, Midea Group and China COSCO Shipping Group renewed their strategic cooperation agreement at Midea 08 Space in Shunde, Foshan, with the core management teams from both sides attending the signing ceremony. Since their collaboration began in 2021, both parties have achieved fruitful results, expanding their business from a single shipping route to a full supply chain, with China COSCO Shipping becoming Midea’s largest partner in trailer services, innovating various models to achieve full digital integration, and highlighting advantages in efficiency and cost across the entire chain.
This renewal sets new goals for both sides: an increase in shipping volume by 2026, focusing on key markets to co-build a green smart supply chain delivery center, and establishing a three-tier warehousing network; deepening digital collaboration, upgrading models for full-category distribution, and jointly promoting the green transformation of the supply chain to create a service ecosystem.
With its integrated advantages of “shipping + port + logistics,” China COSCO Shipping operates numerous routes and calls at many ports, with its container fleet capacity ranking among the top globally, building a multimodal transport system, and creating a smart supply chain that provides solid support for Midea’s global layout.
