The Iranian capital is hit by a fierce airstrike
On March 28, around 21:05 local time, the northeastern part of Tehran, the capital of Iran, was again attacked.
A huge explosion was heard over Tehran, and the Iranian military’s air defense system was immediately activated. Currently, there are no reports of casualties. At 22:55 local time, Tehran was again subjected to an airstrike.
CCTV reporter Li Jiannan: At 21:30 local time on the 28th, which is 2 a.m. Beijing time on the 29th. Over 20 minutes ago, explosions occurred in the eastern and northeastern parts of Tehran. Since the early hours of the 28th, Tehran has already been subjected to multiple rounds of airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel. Currently, the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran has intensified and exhibits fierce confrontation. As of 21:30 local time on the 28th, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has completed the 85th round of military operations of “Real Commitment 4,” using missiles and drones to strike U.S. and Israeli targets.
In addition, the Central Command of the Iranian Armed Forces, Khatam al-Anbiya, stated on the 28th that the Iranian armed forces attacked a Ukrainian anti-drone systems weapons depot located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, aimed at assisting U.S. military operations.
From the U.S. side, in addition to the continued intensive airstrikes against Iran in collaboration with Israel, more than 3,500 U.S. troops have arrived in the Middle East, including the “USS Tripoli,” an amphibious assault ship carrying about 2,500 Marines. Israel recently announced that its military will continue to attack Iran’s key military industrial facilities.
Analysis indicates that as the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran continues to escalate, and with high uncertainty regarding whether international diplomatic efforts related to “U.S.-Iran negotiations” can achieve results, the situation in the entire Middle East will remain tense for the foreseeable future.
