Another new rare earth mineral from Inner Mongolia receives international certification

Following the review and voting by the International Mineralogical Association’s Commission on New Minerals, Nomenclature and Classification (IMA-CNMNC), the rare earth niobium mineral Xianhuaite-(La), discovered and led by the Mining Research Institute, has officially been approved as a new mineral, with the international designation IMA2025-087.
