Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration and Guangzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration Hold a Platform Enterprise Symposium
On March 27, People’s Finance News reported that on March 23, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration, in conjunction with the Guangzhou Market Supervision Administration, held a symposium for platform enterprises to discuss issues such as regulating fair competition and rational competition in the platform economy. They conducted exchanges on administrative guidance for platform enterprises and jointly studied and proposed implementation measures. The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of national and provincial meetings regarding promoting innovation and healthy development of the platform economy, and achieving win-win development for platform enterprises, operators within the platform, and workers. The meeting pointed out that Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, relying on the advantages of traditional industries, have a large number of operators on major platforms and significant operational volumes, leading the nation. The platform rules are crucial for the operation and development of small and micro businesses. Each platform is encouraged to take practical and effective measures to strengthen compliance construction, enhance compliance levels, and focus on innovative development, regulated development, and win-win development. Continuous efforts should be made in areas such as regulating competitive behavior, respecting the business autonomy of merchants, implementing quality grading control, protecting the rights and interests of small and micro businesses, empowering quality brand incubation, and safeguarding consumers’ legal rights, to jointly resist “involution” competition and promote high-quality development in the industry, driving out bad money with good money.
