Vans wins the Conservative Political Action Conference 2028 presidential preference poll
Mars Finance news: On March 29, a non-binding vote result showed that U.S. Vice President Vance became the favorite for the next Republican presidential nominee at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Among more than 1,600 attendees who participated in the vote, about 53% chose Vance, while U.S. Secretary of State Rubio came in second with 35% of the votes. CPAC is an important annual gathering of Republican lawmakers, activists, and presidential campaign candidates. This year’s CPAC meeting was held in Grapevine, Texas, and attendees mainly came from the Republican conservative camp. The conference’s annual non-binding straw poll is not a reliable indicator for the final nominee. However, this vote reflects the current support preferences of the core backers of former President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement. According to monitoring by PolyBeats, on the prediction market Polymarket, the probability currently quoted for Vance as the final winner of the 2028 U.S. presidential election is 18%. The probability currently quoted for California Governor Gavin Newsom as the final winner is 17%, and the probability currently quoted for Secretary of State Rubio as the final winner is 10%. The three finishers ranked first.
