In the March 29th preferential vote, Vice President Vance became the Republican Party's preferred presidential candidate at the Conservative Political Action Conference, with 53% of the vote. Secretary of State Rubio came in second with 35%. This vote reflects the tendencies of Trump supporters, but is not a definitive predictor of the final candidate. Vance has an 18% chance of winning the 2028 presidential election.
