Chinese autonomous driving firm WeRide has suspended its robotaxi fleet in Dubai due to the escalating US-Israel conflict with Iran, impacting a promising market for robotaxi companies. While Dubai operations are halted and employees are working from home, WeRide’s fleets in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh continue normal operations. Other major Chinese robotaxi firms like Baidu’s Apollo Go and Pony.ai are also monitoring the situation and adjusting services as needed.
