Xinhua News Agency, New York, March 27 - The dollar index rose on the 27th.

The dollar index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.26% that day, closing at 100.151 in the foreign exchange market.

As of the close of the New York foreign exchange market, 1 euro exchanged for 1.1508 dollars, down from 1.1532 dollars on the previous trading day; 1 pound exchanged for 1.3266 dollars, down from 1.3327 dollars on the previous trading day.

1 dollar exchanged for 160.38 yen, up from 159.73 yen on the previous trading day; 1 dollar exchanged for 0.7983 Swiss francs, up from 0.7949 Swiss francs on the previous trading day; 1 dollar exchanged for 1.3892 Canadian dollars, up from 1.3847 Canadian dollars on the previous trading day; 1 dollar exchanged for 9.4751 Swedish kronor, up from 9.4392 Swedish kronor on the previous trading day.
