Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration organized random inspections of 21 categories of food, including grain processing products, edible oils, fats and their products, seasonings, meat products, dairy products, beverages, convenience foods, frozen foods, candy products, alcoholic beverages, vegetable products, fruit products, fried snacks and nut products, sugar, aquatic products, starch and starch products, pastries, bean products, catering foods, edible agricultural products, and other foods, with a total of 637 batches of samples. According to the national food safety standards for inspection and determination: 630 batches passed the inspection, and 7 batches failed (see attachment). The non-compliant items involved microbial contamination, excessive food additives, and excessive agricultural and veterinary drug residues. The specific situation is as follows:

I. Microbial Contamination

The packaged drinking water (purified drinking water) produced by Cixi Longxian Purified Water Co., Ltd. does not meet the national food safety standard requirements for Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
The black rice salty cake (sea salt flavor) sold by Haining Yijiafu Supermarket Co., Ltd., produced by Fu’an Wangkeyuan Food Co., Ltd., does not meet the national food safety standard requirements for mold.
The red date longan lotus seed soup sold by Dongyang Baiyun Happy Mountain Specialty Store on Taobao, produced by Changzhou Jiwei Jiuxiang Food Co., Ltd., does not meet the national food safety standard requirements for mold and coliform bacteria.

II. Excessive Food Additives

The longan sold by Xiangshan Lizhonghui Fruit Store does not meet the national food safety standard requirements for sulfur dioxide residue.
The 13 kinds of colorful fruit and vegetable crisps sold by Hangzhou Dongman Food Technology Co., Ltd. on Pinduoduo, produced by Shandong Youling You Food Co., Ltd., do not meet the national food safety standard requirements for sodium saccharin (as saccharin) and sweetener (as cyclohexylamine sulfonate). Shandong Youling You Food Co., Ltd. raised objections regarding the product authenticity, which were not recognized upon verification.

III. Excessive Agricultural and Veterinary Drug Residues

The snow peas sold by Jinhua Jindong District Wu Jianhang Vegetable Wholesale Business do not meet the national food safety standard requirements for carbendazim.
The dried goji berries sold by Shen Hao Grocery Store in Huzhen Town, Jinyun County, do not meet the national food safety standard requirements for chlorpyrifos.

For the non-compliant products found in the random inspections, our bureau has instructed the relevant municipal market supervision departments to take legal action. The Ningbo Municipal Market Supervision Department is required to urge food production enterprises to clarify product distribution, recall non-compliant products, analyze causes, and make corrections; the market supervision departments of Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jiaxing, Jinhua, Lishui, and other places are required to urge relevant units in the food operation link to take immediate measures such as shelf removal to control risks. The above-mentioned municipal market supervision departments must report the verification and disposal situation to the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration within three months from the date of this announcement and make it public.
