Iran decides to promote the safe passage of humanitarian cargo ships through the Strait of Hormuz

On the 27th, Ali Bahreini, Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva, announced on social media that, at the request of the United Nations, Iran has decided to promote and further accelerate the safe passage of humanitarian cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Bahreini stated that this measure reflects Iran’s ongoing commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts and ensuring that essential aid reaches those in need without delay. The operational arrangements will be determined in due course with the United Nations. Iran is firmly committed to ensuring, maintaining, and safeguarding the safety and stability of the Strait of Hormuz for all non-hostile countries.
