Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Ceasefire dialogue is the only way out

On March 24, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, hosted a regular press conference. A reporter asked about the statement from the U.S. President regarding the postponement of the attack on the Iranian power plant, delaying it by five days, indicating that the U.S. government is negotiating with unnamed Iranian officials. What is China’s comment on this? Lin Jian stated that the delay in military action does not align with the interests of any party, and that a ceasefire dialogue is the only way out. China is deeply concerned about the ongoing escalation of the situation, which impacts regional and international peace and stability, and calls on all relevant parties to immediately cease fire and return to the path of peaceful dialogue as soon as possible.
