In January and February of this year, China’s railways completed fixed asset investment of 72.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. Railway construction is being advanced efficiently and with high quality, injecting new momentum into regional economic and social development. A relevant person in charge of the Construction Department of China Railway Group introduced that since the beginning of this year, the China Railway Group has focused on serving major national strategies and regional economic and social development, leveraging the advantages of a long railway construction industry chain and a wide radiation area, effectively utilizing the national “two major” support policies, and accelerating railway construction. During the Spring Festival holiday, 570 construction sites for 46 key railway projects across the country continued operations, with over 38,000 construction personnel staying on the front lines. Projects that paused during the Spring Festival are focusing on strengthening the organization of resuming work and production after the holiday, enhancing safety quality, ecological environmental protection, and engineering investment control, with a number of key engineering projects making positive progress. In Henan, at the construction site of the Qinhhe Grand Bridge, a key project of the Jiaoping High-speed Railway undertaken by China Railway 23rd Bureau, over 200 builders are working hard to advance the pile foundation construction of the bridge. The Qinhhe Grand Bridge is 11.99 kilometers long, with the longest pile foundation reaching 108 meters, making it the longest bridge pile foundation on the entire line. In Shandong, the second bid section in front of Weifang-Suxian High-speed Railway Station undertaken by China Railway 14th Bureau has fully resumed work after the holiday, and the construction of the Weifang Grand Bridge, a key project along the line, is steadily advancing with the continuous beam crossing the Weiqing Expressway, and the lower structure of the bridge has been successfully completed. In Hubei, the Hujiayuan Water Grand Bridge, a key project of the Hefei-Wuhan High-speed Railway undertaken by China Railway 18th Bureau, has successfully completed the closure of the continuous beam crossing the Jushui River. The Hujiayuan Water Grand Bridge is 13,501 meters long, with its continuous beam crossing the Jushui River, running parallel to the existing Hefei-Wuhan Railway, posing significant construction difficulty and high safety risks.
