According to the Inner Mongolia Daily, at around 11:50 on March 19, an explosion occurred in the nitration workshop of Inner Mongolia Liyuan Technology Co., Ltd. in the Alashan League Luanjing Tan Ecological Relocation Demonstration Zone.

After the incident, the Party Committee and government of the autonomous region attached great importance to it and immediately organized rescue teams to the scene to carry out rescue operations. Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress, and Bao Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region, issued instructions promptly.

Wang Weizhong instructed that scientific search and rescue should be carried out quickly, secondary accidents should be avoided, full efforts should be made to rescue the injured, and casualties should be minimized. Proper aftermath handling and comfort for those affected should be ensured. A thorough investigation into the cause of the accident must be conducted, lessons learned, and a comprehensive safety production inspection and rectification should be quickly carried out, focusing on key areas such as high-risk processes, hazardous chemicals, and special equipment, resolutely sealing loopholes and eliminating hidden dangers, preventing similar accidents from happening again, and effectively ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property.

Bao Gang instructed that the investigation of the accident, treatment of the injured, and subsequent handling should be carried out well, with strict prevention of secondary accidents, and he has already rushed to the accident scene to guide rescue work.
