Abstract generation in progress

On March 27, Hexun Investment Advisor Liu Wenbo said that yesterday’s long red candle caused market sentiment to take a big hit, and the overnight overseas markets also broadly fell. This morning, blue-chip stocks were scared badly. Luckily, the market opened lower and then rallied, so it managed to dodge a disaster. Reviewing the situation at noon on March 27: yesterday, more than 5,000 individual stocks fell, and the benchmark index had just shown some backbone for two days before it again grew weak. As if that weren’t enough, the overseas markets kept sliding overnight again. In the evening, when blue-chip investors looked at their phones while going to the restroom, the screen was full of green. They didn’t sleep well all night, and they felt like they were going to cut losses today. Unexpectedly, after the market opened lower, it started to move upward after observing for a few minutes. Everyone held on with a “try it and see” mindset. As it turned out, the market did not disappoint expectations—during the early session, it rose on the back of sectors like chicken, duck, fish, meat, and fertilizer and feed. After 10:30, momentum in popular sectors started to pick back up. The sectors with larger earlier declines, such as nonferrous metals, had already gained more than 2% by around midday. Meanwhile, the technology sector that everyone had been longing for opened sharply lower and led the declines in the morning, but by around noon several sub-sectors had turned green back to red. From the trading screen, there are signs that things are gradually getting better. However, speaking of it, the benchmark index rose in the morning without expanding volume. The overall market turnover shrank by more than 80 billion yuan compared with yesterday on a year-on-year basis. You have to know that yesterday’s volume was already below 2 trillion yuan; today it was even smaller than yesterday. That means whether it’s up or down, investors’ appetite to participate isn’t high. Indeed, after all this turmoil, who would be willing to enter the market easily? But then again, when the market is often cold like this, perhaps opportunities are also being brewed. With the benchmark index opening lower and then rallying in the morning, whether it has stabilized here is still an open question for blue-chip stocks—two questions, specifically: first, the situation with trading volume; second, how the leading sectors will respond.
