JUST IN: Bhutan has once again moved part of its sovereign Bitcoin reserves, further reducing its holdings and significantly lowering its balance compared to 2024.


The transaction, valued at approximately US$36.7 million, comes amid a national strategy that combines mining with hydroelectric power and the use of cryptocurrencies to boost economic development.
A wallet linked to the Bhutanese government transferred 519.7 BTC, equivalent to about US$36.7 million, to two addresses.
