Shandong Province's first international top scientist laboratory launched

Recently, the first international top scientist laboratory in Shandong Province—the Klaus Attosecond Laser Laboratory at the Shandong Academy of Sciences Laser Research Institute—was officially launched in Jinan. The director of the laboratory is Professor Ferenc Krausz, the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics laureate. The laboratory will focus on strategic and leading technological issues in the field of attosecond laser technology, building a full-chain innovation system of “basic research—technological breakthroughs—industry empowerment,” breaking through the time resolution limits of ultrafast laser technology, and promoting the application of attosecond technology in physics, chemistry, biology, and materials science.
