The country's first greenhouse gas emission reduction project in the marine sector has been implemented.

People’s Financial News, March 26 — The Mangrove Vegetation Restoration Project in Changchun Town and Yantian Township, Xiapu County, Fujian Province, has recently been officially registered in the National Voluntary Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Registration System, becoming China’s first nationwide voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction project in the marine sector. This marks a key step in the market-based realization of the value of marine carbon sinks, moving beyond simple ecological restoration. (CCTV News)
