Shenzhen's incoming passenger flow sets historical records for three consecutive days

Due to the overlapping effects of the Spring Festival return flow and visitors coming to Shenzhen for the New Year, Shenzhen’s return passenger flow remains strong, repeatedly setting new records. According to the Shenzhen Spring Festival Travel Office, from February 21 to 23, whether by rail or air, the number of passengers arriving in Shenzhen broke daily records for three consecutive days, with a significant year-on-year increase. Travelers arrived at Shenzhen North Station. Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reporter Liu Yujie took photos. It is understood that during the core return period from February 21 to 23, the railway continuously set new daily records for passenger arrivals, with an average of 585,000 arrivals per day, up 28.8% year-on-year. On February 23, the peak reached 625,000, with Shenzhen North Station averaging 372,000 arrivals daily and peaking at 385,000 on the 23rd. Between midnight and 6 a.m., an average of 62,000 arrived daily. On the civil aviation side, the daily arrival record was also broken for three consecutive days, with an average of 108,000 arrivals per day, up 4.7% year-on-year. The peak on February 23 reached 110,000. Shenzhen Airport’s total passenger arrivals and departures on February 23 reached 214,000, setting a new record high.
