14290 points! AMD 9950X3D processor breaks PCMark 10 Express world record
IT Home, March 11 — Tech media Wccftech published a blog post yesterday (March 10) reporting that overclocking enthusiast Alex2305 used an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and an ASRock X870E Taichi OCF motherboard to successfully break the world record for PCMark 10 Express.
Note from IT Home: This new record ends nearly five months of silence in the PCMark 10 Express testing field. Unlike the frequently refreshed pure CPU frequency records, achieving breakthroughs in this comprehensive benchmark test is extremely difficult.
Currently, on the top of the leaderboard, besides Alex2305 holding the first place, another device equipped with Ryzen 9 9950X3D ranks only ninth. The remaining positions are still firmly occupied by Intel Core i9 and even i5 processors.
The previous record was set by Doomed83 using an Intel Core i9-14900K processor with a score of 14,280, but Alex2305 ultimately achieved an astonishing score of 14,290.
The media pointed out that although the new record only increased by 10 points, considering that the PCMark 10 Express leaderboard has long been dominated by 14th-generation Intel processors, this slight surpassing still holds significant industry value.
In the test, Alex2305 used extreme liquid nitrogen cooling to fully push the processor’s performance to the limit. Under the intense cold environment, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D’s operating frequency was successfully boosted to 6.37 GHz.
ASRock’s official social media platform X later posted to celebrate this achievement, emphasizing that their X870E Taichi OCF motherboard provided excellent system stability and a high degree of tuning freedom during this record-breaking process.
