In 2025, market supervision and administration departments at all levels investigated and handled 12,700 cases of unfair competition violations.
People’s Financial News, March 24 — According to reports today, by 2025, market regulation authorities will focus on rectifying “involution-style” competition, deepen the crackdown on corruption and misconduct close to the public, strengthen regular supervision of platform economies, maintain a fair market pricing environment, reinforce the bottom line of regulatory and security measures, and improve the enforcement capabilities of price supervision and competition regulation. Efforts to address “group corruption” issues in sectors such as water, electricity, gas charges, medical insurance fund management, elderly medicines and health products, and funeral services have been effective and impactful, with 33,800 cases investigated and 1.075 billion yuan in refunds issued. Protection of trade secrets continues to strengthen, with 434 institutional achievements published across 46 pilot regions.
