On March 23, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Shu Wei, met with Robert Thiel, CEO of Cohen Group, and Michael Nielsen, CEO of Amway Global, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on advancing the construction of a unified national market and fair competition. Shu Wei stated that the State Administration for Market Regulation is implementing the decisions outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan to further expand high-level opening-up, and is actively promoting the construction of a unified national market to create a favorable business environment for companies from all countries, including American enterprises, to develop in China. He expressed hope that the U.S. business community will contribute to the stable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations.
