Ministry of Civil Affairs: Promoting Subsidy Projects to Reach Elderly Population More Conveniently and Efficiently

Abstract generation in progress

According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the department will upgrade the elderly care service subsidy program for moderately to severely disabled seniors from “implementation and effectiveness” to “quality improvement and excellence.” This will enable eligible seniors not only to “receive” consumption vouchers but also to “spend” them effectively. The Ministry will further guide and encourage more elderly care service providers, senior-related business entities, and social platforms to participate in the subsidy program, providing more support for disabled seniors in care facilities to smoothly redeem their elderly care service vouchers and for home-based disabled seniors to conveniently purchase professional elderly care services nearby. Additionally, the department will optimize the application, usage, and redemption processes for subsidies, making it easier for disabled seniors, their families, and elderly care providers to access and deliver services through the “Civil Affairs Pass” platform.
