National Health Commission: Starting April 1st, Chikungunya fever and febrile thrombocytopenia syndrome will be included in the management of Class B infectious diseases

People’s Financial News, March 25 — The National Health Commission announced that, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, starting April 1, 2026, chikungunya and dengue fever with thrombocytopenia will be classified as Category B infectious diseases and managed accordingly, with preventive and control measures for Category B infectious diseases implemented.
