Phoenix Technology News, March 17 — Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that Chinese Apple Watch users can now use the mobile pulse rate atrial fibrillation indication recording feature. Atrial fibrillation patients can better understand their condition and share relevant information with their doctors.

According to the announcement, users diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AFib) can enable the AFib history feature to access important information such as estimated frequency of AFib indications on their heart rhythm display, gaining a deeper understanding of their health status.

Users can also receive weekly notifications to learn about the estimated frequency of AFib episodes and view detailed historical records through the Health app, including lifestyle factors that may affect AFib, such as sleep, alcohol intake, and exercise.

It is understood that “Mobile Pulse Rate Atrial Fibrillation Indication Recording Software” is its registered name in mainland China. It was approved by the China National Medical Products Administration on December 26, 2025, and has obtained Class II medical device import qualification.
