A-shares closing: Shanghai Composite rebounds with reduced volume, up 1.78%, micro-cap stock index rises over 5%
The market rebounded after hitting the bottom throughout the day, with the yellow and white lines diverging clearly. Micro-cap stocks surged over 5%. Green energy concept stocks repeatedly gained strength, with China Huadian and Liaoning Energy hitting the daily limit for seven consecutive days, and Shao Neng Shares, Hunan Development, Huayin Electric Power, and others also hitting the limit. The military industry sector collectively strengthened, with Great Wall Military Industry, Hunan Tianyan, and Construction Industry hitting the limit. The lithium battery sector surged, with Rongjie Shares, Tibet Urban Investment, and Zhongda Mining hitting the limit. On the downside, oil and gas stocks performed weaker, with Keli Shares, Tongyuan Petroleum, and Intercontinental Oil & Gas all falling more than 5%. Individual stocks mostly rose, with nearly 5,200 stocks in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets gaining ground, and today’s total trading volume reaching 2.1 trillion yuan. By the close, the Shanghai Composite rose 1.78%, the Shenzhen Component Index increased 1.43%, and the ChiNext Index gained 0.5%. The Wind Micro-cap Stock Index rose 5.51%.
In terms of sector concepts, military, electric power, healthcare, and sports sectors led the gains, while the oil and gas sector saw only slight declines.
A total of 4,866 stocks in both markets rose, with 1,000 stocks hitting the daily limit, 299 stocks declined, and 8 stocks hit the daily limit down. Twenty-two stocks were halted from trading, with a halt rate of 21%.
