Northbound funds attract HKD 29.7 billion to support the market, over HKD 24.8 billion bought in three major index ETFs, selling SMIC and Alibaba
Hong Kong stocks plummeted over 800 points, with Northbound funds again pouring in to buy the dip, totaling HKD 29.71 billion for the day. Main funds bought in three major index ETFs: the Tracker Fund (02800), Southbound Hang Seng Tech (03033), and Hang Seng China Enterprises ETF (02828), with net inflows of HKD 13.27 billion, HKD 6.53 billion, and HKD 4.84 billion respectively. Xiaomi (01810) and Tencent (00700) attracted HKD 1.22 billion and HKD 790 million; meanwhile, net outflows from SMIC (00981) and Alibaba (09988) were HKD 520 million and HKD 70 million.
