People’s livelihoods are no small matter; every branch and leaf is connected to people’s feelings. The Qingdao Branch of the Bank of Communications upholds the political and people-centered nature of financial work, adhering to a development philosophy centered on the people. Under the theme “Clear and Honest Financial Networks, Protecting Peace of Mind in Consumption,” it diligently carries out the 2026 “3.15” Financial Consumer Rights Protection Education and Promotion Campaign. The activity focuses on new employment groups such as truck drivers, ride-hail drivers, delivery personnel, and couriers, precisely caring for key groups like the elderly and children. It promotes financial knowledge in markets, rural areas, communities, and stations, providing targeted, down-to-earth, and warm financial education services to firmly safeguard people’s property safety and create a safe, honest, and transparent financial consumption environment.

Providing precise services for new business formats, warmly protecting new citizens. The branch conducts special educational campaigns targeting the “Two Offices and Two Members” new employment groups. Volunteers visit JD Logistics in Jiaozhou, Qingdao Xiangwei Passenger Transport Taxi Company, Shinan District SF Express, as well as major food delivery stations, ride-hail pick-up points, and drivers’ homes. They conduct face-to-face explanations and one-on-one Q&A sessions, focusing on exposing common risks such as fake order rebates, false dispatching, impersonating customer service, illegal online lending, and information leaks. They promote knowledge on account security, salary management, credit maintenance, and legal rights protection, bringing financial safety services directly to frontline workers, using financial warmth to protect city builders.

Warm the elderly market, safeguard retirement funds. For places frequently visited by seniors such as farmers’ markets and convenience markets, the branch has set up “Elderly Financial Protection Stations” in key areas like Tuan Island Farmers’ Market, Anshan Second Road Market, and Fushun Road Wholesale Market. Through banners, display boards, and distribution of promotional materials, they use simple language to explain anti-fraud for the elderly, account protection, prevention of false retirement financial products, vigilance against illegal fundraising, and refusal of strangers’ transfers. This targeted approach aims to address the financial knowledge gaps and risk prevention weaknesses among seniors, integrating financial education into daily life and effectively protecting the “retirement money” and “life-saving money” of the elderly.

Childlike hearts toward finance, safeguarding mutual growth. The branch’s Sifang sub-branch carefully conducts “Little Financial Experts” classroom experiential activities, including identifying real and fake currency, financial literacy enlightenment, and fun anti-fraud lessons. These interactive activities guide young people to establish correct views on money, consumption, and risk awareness, creating a positive effect of “educating one child, influencing one family, radiating to the whole society,” and laying a solid foundation for nationwide financial safety.

Financial services to rural areas benefit people’s livelihoods, contributing to rural revitalization. The branch and its subsidiaries visit markets in Jiaozhou, Laixi, Jimo, and Pori in Jiaonan, as well as Shazikou Market, conducting widespread publicity in rural squares and village streets. Relying on the “Financial Consumer Protection Village-to-Village” service points established in various towns, they set up financial consumer protection service check-in points, creating integrated one-stop financial service stations that combine knowledge dissemination, risk alerts, dispute resolution, and convenient services. Volunteers focus on hot topics such as pension security, agricultural payments, prevention of illegal fundraising, and false insurance claims, using case studies and attentive Q&A to protect the elderly and rural residents, truly bringing financial services to the doorstep and bridging the “last mile” of consumer protection.

Putting people first in finance, prioritizing consumer protection. The Qingdao Branch of the Bank of Communications will take this promotional activity as an opportunity to normalize, institutionalize, and sustain financial consumer protection education, continuously improve the consumer rights protection system, enhance the quality and efficiency of financial services, and resolutely safeguard the property safety of the people. This will contribute to creating a healthy and orderly financial ecosystem and supporting high-quality local economic and social development.
