Taiwanese band Mayday’s concert in Hong Kong has caused dissatisfaction among many fans after the organizer suddenly canceled the first show scheduled for March 24. The Consumer Council stated that the number of related complaints has risen to 194, involving a total amount of over HKD 540,000.

Mayday was originally scheduled to hold four concerts at Kai Tak Sports Park at the end of the month. However, the organizer unexpectedly announced the cancellation of the first show on March 24 and added a “birthday” show on March 29 as the final performance, sparking outrage among many local and international fans who had already purchased tickets for the first show, with no compensation offered, leading to widespread complaints on social media.

In 2024, Mayday held an outdoor concert at Central Harbourfront. The second show was delayed due to a stage accident, and the organizer arranged for affected audience members to exchange tickets. International fans’ transportation and hotel expenses were reimbursed in full.
