Germany Legislates Gas Station Price Increase Explanations - One Increase Per Day Permitted

The German government is drafting a law requiring oil companies to provide reasons for fuel price increases at gas stations in advance, and allowing stations to raise prices only once daily at noon, but they can lower prices at any time. A government spokesperson explained that this move is to respond to the rapid rise in gasoline prices following the outbreak of war between the US, Israel, and Iran.

The draft legislation was submitted for consultation with various ministries on Sunday and handed over to the parliament for review. It is expected to be approved as early as this week. Since it is a temporary law, it will be reviewed after the summer.
