# Fundamentals-based Coins VS Shitcoins, Which Would You Choose?
To be honest, I'm not really into playing those worthless air coins. My strategy is: either focus on value coins with fundamentals, or (if you're a thrill-seeker) do some swing trading. But the key is, you need to know what you're doing—don't be blindfolded.
## Fundamentals-based Coins
Value Coins
Suitable for players pursuing stability and long-term growth:
- Solve real technical pain points with actual use cases
- Active ecosystem, projects continuously making progress
- Products already launched (not just empty promises)
- Experienced team with transparent track records
- Clear and reasonable tokenomics
- Backing from renowned institutions or major enterprises
- Regular code and project updates
- High market cap, good liquidity, relatively resistant to crashes
## Shitcoins / Meme Coins (Extremely High Risk!)
Suitable for players seeking an adrenaline rush and prepared to accept losses:
- Almost no technical merit or application value
- No actual products, just stories and concepts
- Anonymous teams—no idea who's behind it
- Aggressive marketing, constantly shouting "Get rich quick"
- Code is usually copy-pasted
- Low liquidity, easily manipulated
- Highly dependent on "pump and dump" Pump & Dump schemes
- Rug Pull can happen anytime (project team just disappears)
- Could 10x or even 100x in a day (looks thrilling)
- Could also go to zero in an hour (lose everything)
Whether to play fundamentals or shitcoins comes down to personal choice—pursue long-term stability or experience an adrenaline rush. The key is: understand what you're playing with, and don't bet your entire net worth and life savings into it!
