Dow Jones Rebounds as PCE Inflation Surprises to the Downside

The Dow Jones (DJIA) is set to open Friday higher after a better-than-expected inflation reading from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).

In January, the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Index rose by 0.4%, unchanged from December and matching the consensus estimate. On an annual basis, PCE increased by 2.8% compared to 2.9% during the prior month and below the estimate of 2.9%.
