Poll Shows Nearly 60% of Americans Disapprove of Military Action Against Iran
According to the latest public opinion poll released by CNN on the 2nd, nearly 60% of Americans oppose military action against Iran. The poll was conducted shortly after the United States and Israel launched military strikes against Iran on February 28. It shows that 59% of respondents do not support military action against Iran, 39% believe the U.S. has not made sufficient efforts through diplomatic means to resolve the issue, and only 27% think the U.S. has exhausted diplomatic efforts before resorting to force against Iran. Most respondents are skeptical of President Trump’s approach to the Iran situation. Sixty percent believe Trump has no clear plan, and 62% think he should seek Congressional approval for any further military actions. Additionally, a poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos on March 1 indicates that 43% of Americans oppose the U.S. and Israel attacking Iran, 29% are unsure, and only 27% support such actions. (Xinhua)
