The Michigan Strategic Fund board has approved significant incentives for Corning Inc. to build a $900 million solar component manufacturing facility in Saginaw County, Michigan. This project is expected to create 1,151 jobs with competitive wages and benefits and is a key step in strengthening the domestic solar supply chain. Corning chose Michigan due to its local workforce and proximity to Hemlock Semiconductor, despite offers from other states.
