ChainCatcher News: U.S. President Donald Trump stated at the Florida Republican Conference that he will refuse to sign any other laws until the Congress approves the “SAVE America Act”—a bill related to voter identification, citizen verification, and restrictions on mail-in ballots.

This stance may hinder the long-anticipated Digital Asset Market Clarity Act for the crypto industry. The crypto bill is currently undergoing tough negotiations in the Senate Banking Committee after being approved by the Senate Agriculture Committee.

Although Trump has been calling for improved crypto regulation since early last year and considers it a White House priority, he now insists that voter identification legislation is the top priority and claims that the bill is key to ensuring Republican victories in the midterm elections and beyond.
