A shooting incident occurred in Michigan, USA, on Thursday, when a man armed with an assault rifle drove his vehicle into a Jewish synagogue in a Detroit suburb, and was subsequently shot and killed by security personnel.

It is reported that the suspect is now deceased, with no other casualties at this time. Local police confirmed at a press conference that security personnel at the synagogue exchanged gunfire with at least one individual, and no arrests have been made.

Aerial footage shows smoke rising from the synagogue’s roof, with dozens of police cars surrounding the building.

FBI Director Kash Patel posted on social media that FBI agents have arrived at the scene in Michigan and are working with local partners to respond to the attack.
