HSBC (00005) recently reviewed its HSBC Life Insurance (Singapore) “insurance product development” business. Bloomberg quoted sources as saying that after the group completed its assessment, Allianz, Manulife Financial, Japan’s Dai-ichi Life Holdings, and Japan Life Insurance are considering bids for the business.
