A landslide in southern Ethiopia has resulted in the death of 30 people.

According to the Gamo Zone government of Southern Ethiopia released on the 10th, due to continuous rainfall, a landslide occurred in the area on the night of the 10th, resulting in 30 deaths and multiple injuries. Southern Ethiopia Governor Keibed stated via social media on the 10th that since it is currently the rainy season, such disasters may happen again. Residents living in the affected areas should take necessary precautions, and the government will provide essential support to those affected. Ethiopia is currently in the rainy season. Prolonged rainfall is a major cause of landslides in some parts of the country. (CCTV News)
