Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 11 — Peter Cardillo, Chief Market Economist at Spartan Capital Securities in New York, commented on U.S. CPI data, saying that in a sense, it’s good news because we haven’t seen inflation accelerate. In fact, on a year-over-year basis, the 2.4% level is not far from the Federal Reserve’s 2% target. Therefore, I think this is a form of relief. Of course, these data still depend on the progress of the war. If the war continues for a longer period and oil prices stay at current levels or rise further, we may see higher inflation in the coming months. (Jin10)
