Huang Jiaju's tomb was tragically turned into a pond, with fans kneeling to clear the water. The neighbor built a tall wall and became the main culprit!
Kuang Jiaju’s grave has turned into a pond, and fans are nearly frantic with worry! Could it be that a neighbor’s tomb built too high is the culprit causing this situation? Why has his brother, Huang Jiaqing, been delaying in addressing this?
Kuang Jiaju has been gone for nearly 33 years, but his grave recently seems unsettled.
Recently, heavy rains hit Hong Kong again. Fans went to the Chinese Eternal Cemetery in Tseung Kwan O to pay their respects and discovered that Jiaju’s grave was flooded!
The water in front of the grave was several centimeters deep, completely covering the ground, which is truly heartbreaking.
When the fans saw this scene, they were extremely anxious. They hurried to find brooms and dustpans and began clearing the water.
They bent down and scooped out the water, worried that it might seep into the grave and disturb the resting place of the late Jiaju.
After removing the water, these lovely fans also tidied up the surrounding trash, leaving everything spotless.
Finally, they replaced the flowers with fresh ones and prepared drinks. Instantly, the entire graveyard exuded a fresh atmosphere.
Strangely, among all the graves, only Jiaju’s was flooded.
Careful observation by the fans revealed that nearby graves were built too tall!
Not far away was the grave of Chen Zhiqiang, who also passed away in the same year. His family had deliberately raised his grave higher when it was built.
Now, the situation has improved: all the rainwater flows down the slope to the lower areas and eventually floods Jiaju’s grave.
Even more regrettably, Jiaju’s grave is located at the lowest point in this row.
In front of the grave, there is a small concrete threshold that acts like a tiny pond, completely surrounding the water inside.
The water cannot freely enter or exit, only waiting for the sun to dry it up or for manual cleaning.
This is not the first time; fans have come multiple times to deal with the flooding issue.
Fans feel helpless—they can’t keep running to the cemetery every time it rains.
Someone uploaded a video online showing themselves injured by the flood, hoping that family members or cemetery management can intervene and help solve the problem.
In fact, fixing this is very simple: just dig two drainage holes in the concrete threshold of the grave, and the problem would be solved.
However, fans dare not take action because they are not relatives. If they are seen as damaging the grave, it would be very complicated.
Regarding the neighbor named Chen Zhiqiang, he and Jiaju actually passed away in the same year.
Interestingly, Chen Zhiqiang’s grave was relocated a few years ago but has recently been returned to this spot.
Logically, after so many years as neighbors, members of both families should be familiar with each other.
Building their own grave higher than the neighbor’s has led to the flooding problem. Such behavior clearly does not fully adhere to accepted moral standards, and indeed, it is problematic.
Jiaju’s real brother, Huang Jiaqing, has chosen to live abroad for many years and has entrusted his brother’s grave to a close friend, Liu Hongbo, for management.
Liu Hongbo is a close friend of the Huang brothers, and normally, they should visit often.
This severe flooding issue has not been properly addressed yet, possibly because they feel it’s not important or due to a feng shui belief that it should not be changed casually.
The last time Huang Jiaqing returned to his hometown was in 2024. He flew back from the U.S. after someone deliberately damaged the tombstone to handle various related matters.
In rural areas, such neighborly oppression is quite common.
Whether building houses or repairing graves, some people want to build just a little higher than their neighbors, as if that’s the only way to suppress each other’s luck.
Chen Zhiqiang’s family built his grave higher than Jiaju’s, causing Jiaju to suffer from flooding for years. Isn’t this clearly bullying?
With hope, after this serious situation, whether for Huang Jiaqing or the cemetery management, they should quickly carve out drainage holes so Jiaju can rest peacefully and comfortably.
