Intel and SambaNova reach multi-year strategic partnership to jointly develop AI inference solutions based on Xeon processors

Currently, AI workloads are becoming increasingly diverse and complex, with more and more companies and institutions flexibly choosing solutions based on their needs. This has also driven demand for heterogeneous infrastructure, which requires consistency across diverse computing power, memory, networking, and software to support large-scale inference deployment at the data center level.

Recently, SambaNova announced a multi-year partnership with Intel, based on the Intel Xeon platform infrastructure, providing high-performance, cost-effective AI inference solutions for AI-native enterprises, model providers, corporate clients, and institutions worldwide. At the same time, Intel Capital will participate in SambaNova’s Series E funding round.

For customers whose AI workloads align closely with SambaNova’s technology solutions, before Intel’s GPU-based solutions are fully ready, the combination of Intel CPUs and SambaNova AI platform offers an attractive rack-scale inference solution.

This collaboration not only complements Intel’s current plans in the data center GPU field but also continues to strengthen and advance Intel’s established strategic direction in AI. Intel will continue investing in GPU core IP, architecture, products, software, and system capabilities, and will keep pushing product roadmap development across edge to cloud AI deployments.

Looking ahead, Intel and SambaNova will work together to drive the technological evolution of next-generation heterogeneous AI data centers by deeply integrating Intel Xeon processors, GPUs, networking, and storage solutions with SambaNova’s system-level capabilities, jointly seizing the multi-billion-dollar AI inference market opportunity.
