  4. The three major European stock indexes all closed lower, with Germany’s DAX down 1.61% to 23,815.75 points, France’s CAC 40 down 1.49% to 8,045.8 points, and the UK’s FTSE 100 down 1.45% to 10,413.94 points;

  5. International precious metals futures generally declined. COMEX gold futures fell 0.81% to $5,093.30 per ounce, COMEX silver futures fell 0.80% to $82.52 per ounce;

  6. WTI crude oil futures closed up 5.64% at $78.87 per barrel; Brent crude futures rose 3.22% to $84.02 per barrel;

  7. At the New York close, the US dollar index rose 0.24% to 99.04, and offshore RMB against the US dollar fell 238.0 basis points to 6.9184;

  8. London base metals all declined, with LME lead down 0.97% to $1,943.5 per ton, LME aluminum down 1.50% to $3,292.5 per ton, LME copper down 1.52% to $12,859.0 per ton, LME nickel down 1.58% to $17,215 per ton, LME zinc down 2.87% to $3,230 per ton, and LME tin down 3.16% to $49,405 per ton;

  9. US Treasury yields all increased, with the 2-year yield up 3.72 basis points to 3.578%, the 3-year yield up 4.80 basis points to 3.598%, the 5-year yield up 5.05 basis points to 3.727%, the 10-year yield up 4.04 basis points to 4.136%, and the 30-year yield up 1.87 basis points to 4.754%;

  10. European bond yields all increased, with the UK 10-year government bond yield up 10.1 basis points to 4.540%, France’s 10-year yield up 11.7 basis points to 3.463%, Germany’s 10-year yield up 9 basis points to 2.838%, Italy’s 10-year yield up 13.2 basis points to 3.558%, and Spain’s 10-year yield up 10.7 basis points to 3.298%.
