Today, smart grids, electricity, photovoltaics, robotics, and defense industries all performed well.

Abstract generation in progress

Today, the oil and gas sector finally broke away from being the sole leader, showing significant divergence, and other technology themes immediately came back to life! [Taogu Ba]
However, quant-driven market movements are truly difficult to handle! Even during intraday trading, PetroChina’s stock can hit the limit down and then rebound to the red; some oil and gas stocks have intraday fluctuations of 30 to 40 points—truly a rare sight!
Smart grids, electricity, photovoltaics, robotics, military industry, and others all performed well. Last night, Beiwei Storage announced a profit increase forecast for January and February, which boosted the storage sector’s rebound.
The biggest event ahead is the Two Sessions. Today, the National People’s Congress also announced its agenda, and tomorrow is another key day: the highly anticipated Government Work Report will be unveiled tomorrow morning. New terms and unexpected phrasing are likely to become mainstream themes for a period of time.
New term at the Two Sessions: Smart Economy
The term “Smart Economy” first appeared in reports and comments by journalists covering the Two Sessions.
The concept of “Smart Economy” is quite innovative. This afternoon, the idea suddenly gained traction, seemingly captured by quant algorithms. Companies with “smart” in their names saw their stock prices soar, with several hitting the daily limit up and many stocks rising sharply.
Electric Power:
AI intensifies “electricity shortage”—U.S. power grid to undergo epic expansion with $75 billion focused on “ultra-high voltage” transmission.
Military Industry:
U.S. ammunition stockpiles are running low!
CCTV reports that drones have become Iran’s key counterattack weapon—main models cost $50,000 and can fly 1,000 kilometers.
Semiconductors:
Storage chip prices surge—Lenovo issues a price increase notice, with some computers seeing price hikes of over 1,000 yuan.

Today, I held real positions in natural gas stocks: 300157 Xinjin Power and 300483 Shoufa Gas. Due to the large divergence in the sector, I sold during intraday rally. Since I entered the day before yesterday and did not add positions yesterday, I took profits. Tomorrow, I will lightly buy energy storage stocks, 300317, at the close when they turn red; I added to positions when they opened higher, then sold the core holdings at the end of the day. I also low-bought leading stocks in computing power and electricity concepts, 001896 Yunnan Energy Holdings, which closed with a small profit.
